The Volunteer Center of Sheboygan County (VCSC), in collaboration with the Service-Learning Coalition, the Sheboygan Food Bank, and the John Michael Kohler Arts Center (JMKAC), is organizing CANfiguration, a community wide event designed to collect non-perishable food items for the Sheboygan County Food Bank and educate residents of our county on the legacy Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. left us.
Currently the VCSC is recruiting teams of individuals to participate in the CANfiguration event. Each team will be asked to gather a minimum of 800 non-perishable canned food items that will be used to create a structure. The structure will be designed and built by each team.
On January 20th, teams will gather at the John Michael Kohler Arts Center to attend the CANfiguration. Each team will have up to four hours to execute their design and build their structure with the canned goods collected following the regulations given by the program. After the building process has been completed, judges selected by the Volunteer Center staff will carefully choose the structure that will be awarded as Champion of CANfiguration 2014.
